Privacy Policy

NurseVerdict ("we", "us") provides nursing education content — notes, previous year papers, practice tests, and the NurseVerdict Premium NORCET prep system — to students across India. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what control you have over it.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — name and email address, whether you sign up directly or via Google Sign-In.
• Usage data — notes you bookmark, practice test attempts and scores, and your progress through NurseVerdict Premium's phases, so this can sync across your devices.
• Payment information — when you subscribe to NurseVerdict Premium via Razorpay, payment is processed by Razorpay; we do not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details for that method, only confirmation of a successful payment and your subscription status. When you pay by direct UPI transfer instead, we do collect the UPI transaction reference (UTR) you submit and a screenshot of the payment, so we can manually verify it — this may incidentally show details your UPI app displays on that screen, such as your UPI ID or a partial account number. This information is visible only to NurseVerdict staff reviewing payments, is used solely to verify that specific payment, and is not shared beyond what's needed for that verification.
• Technical data — standard web log data (browser type, approximate location from IP, pages visited) collected automatically for security and analytics.

2. How we use your information

• To provide the service itself — syncing your bookmarks, progress, and premium access across sessions and devices.
• To send you exam notifications and updates you've opted into.
• To understand which content is useful (in aggregate, not by reading your individual activity) so we can prioritize what to build next.
• To detect misuse (e.g., an account being shared or used to redistribute paid content) and keep the service secure.

3. Third-party services we use

We rely on a small number of third-party providers to run this site, each of which processes some data on our behalf:

• Google Firebase / Google Cloud — hosting, authentication, and our database.
• Razorpay — payment processing for NurseVerdict Premium subscriptions.

We don't currently run any advertising on this site. If that changes — for example, by adding Google AdSense to free content pages — we'll update this section first, before any ads go live, along with how to review or adjust ad personalization.

4. Your rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us (see below) or, where available, directly from your Account settings. If you're located in India, this is handled in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; if you're accessing the site from the EU/UK, you have equivalent rights under GDPR.

5. Data retention

We retain account and progress data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain payment records for legal/tax purposes.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your display preferences (theme, font, text size). We don't currently use advertising or tracking cookies; if that changes, this section will be updated first.

7. Children's privacy

NurseVerdict is built for nursing students and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data without appropriate consent, contact us and we'll remove it.

8. Changes to this policy

We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes materially, and post significant changes on our Exam Updates page.
